Join the Village Movement in Strathmore Bel Pre!

Participation in Strathmore Bel Pre Village is free for residents! All 750+ homes of the Strathmore Bel Pre neighborhood, in the Aspen Hill/Glenmont region of Montgomery County, Maryland, are part of the service area of SBP Village. SBP Village is fiscally sponsored by the nonprofit, Montgomery County Villages Consortium, Inc.

Beginning in Spring 2025, SBP neighborhood residents are encouraged to register as Social or Service-Receiving Members. SBP Village provides its members numerous social, cultural, educational, and wellness benefits, an upcoming volunteer assistance program, and a variety of member-sponsored interest groups. 

The state of Maryland and Montgomery County are both "age-friendly" and generously support the Village Movement that has swept the country in the last two decades. Our county and state each provide grant funding to village organizations providing services to county citizens, particularly to our booming senior population, who may need additional support to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. Statistics from this website highlighting the participation rate of village-sponsored events are extrapolated (without the sharing of private personal information) and combined with other county village data to demonstrate the positive collective impact of villages on the lives of county residents.
